Suitable for large-scale domestic use, this technologically advanced rotary mower from Hayter has a generous 48cm cutting-width and an effort-saving power-drive to its rear-roller.
The Hayter Harrier 48 Autodrive is fitted with a 190cc 650EX Series EcoPlus™ engine from Briggs & Stratton (with ReadyStart®). These premium power-units require no priming and feature a float-feed carburettor for stress-free pull-starts; and a performance muffler for low-noise operation.
An automotive-style pleated paper air-filter works with an aluminium cylinder lining to ensure a lengthy engine-life; while the incorporation of an extra-large diameter rewind starter means only a light pull on the starter-cord is needed for ignition.
Thanks to its variable-speed power-drive and seven-stage cutting-height (13 – 60mm), the Hayter Harrier 48 is flexible enough to achieve great results no matter what the conditions.
It has a robust ABS deck-liner, which reduces blade-noise while optimising cutting- and collection-performance; and it features Hayter’s unique cutter-bar friction-disc, which minimises impact damage should the blade come into contact with a solid object (this has prompted Hayter to offer a lifetime guarantee against crankshaft bending).
Constructed around a strong, rust-resistant aluminium chassis and running on long-lasting ball-bearing wheels, the Hayter Harrier 48 Autodrive Rear-Roller Lawnmower will give you year upon year of unfailing service.
The height-of-cut is controlled using a single counterbalanced lever for simple, light-touch adjustment; while the handlebar can be quickly folded-down to save space in the shed or car-boot.
The impressively capacious 70-litre collector on this model is made from fabric. This allows spent air to escape, in turn ensuring you’ll be able to pack-in the maximum amount of clippings between each trip to the compost-heap.
